OwnSpace collects your personal information through our website, subdomains belonging to ownspace.com, and mobile application, including but not limited to, your name, address, phone number, email address, birth date, login credentials, and the same information about any other purchasers added to your purchase offer(s). This information is collected for the purpose of saving any partially or fully completed purchase offers you have created using our site or mobile application, as well as saving your account information for future use. We save this information at the time that you create your account, and augment it when you complete other purchase offer actions, such as adding individuals to a purchase offer. Additionally, we save your information in a secure database for retrieval at your next login, and we store images and documents that are uploaded or generated in association with your account in third party blob storage technology. We do not sell or share any information you provide outside of the necessary home building partners, brokers, and third party affiliate software companies that are required for fulfilment of the services described above.

Your data will be shared with our home development partners. This is necessary as they finalise and approve all purchase offers and contracts created through the website. Our home developers may reach out to you to collect additional information, and any collected information may also be stored in our software through our products. Your data may also be used to generate suggestions tailored to you or your company to enhance your experience within our websites.

OwnSpace also works with selected broker agencies. We share a subset of your information with these brokers as part of the home buying process.

OwnSpace uses third party subsidiary software to facilitate some steps in the home buying process, including the recognition of identity documents, payment, contract generation, email communications, and contract signing. We use Stripe Payment to process your uploaded identification documents and your payment. Your payment information is not stored by OwnSpace. For more information on Stripe’s privacy policy, please navigate to Stripe Privacy Policy on a web browser.

We use Stripe Identity for identity document verification. Stripe collects identity document images, facial images, ID numbers and addresses as well as advanced fraud signals and information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe shares this information with us and also uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides, including for fraud detection. You may also choose to allow Stripe to use your data to improve Stripe’s biometric verification technology. Stripe retains a copy of all the data provided as part of a verification. You may also have consented to allow Stripe to use your data to improve their technology. You can delete your information from Stripe’s servers or revoke your consent by visiting https://support.stripe.com.

We use DocuSign to generate your purchase offer contract and allow you and any other purchasers to sign this contract electronically. DocuSign stores the generated and signed contracts, which include identity documents. We use Google Analytics, as do many other reputable sites, to collect browsing data automatically through cookies as you browse our website and mobile application. OwnSpace’s team utilises Google Analytics for web usage and traffic analytics. The data collected may include your IP address, which is available to websites and mobile applications whether or not a site uses Google Analytics. It may also include your browsing history on our site and mobile application. At this time, we do not collect your browsing data or IP address for the purposes of geolocated advertising, also known as location targeted advertising. If we implement geolocated advertising in the future, we will contact you through email with an updated privacy policy. We use SendGrid, a third party email sending service, for sending communications through email. All provided user and purchaser information, with the exception of your password, may be sent to SendGrid and stored on their servers. You may access your personal information through ownspace.com and through our mobile application. It is stored in the My Account and Purchase Offers sections of our website. Some of your personal information stored by ownspace.com and our mobile application may not be available through the user interfaces of these products. You may also access the entirety of your personal information stored in any form by our website or application by emailing our support team for assistance. We may not be able to provide you with information stored by third party software affiliates.

You have the right to delete your account at any time. However, your personal information, as contained in any completed purchase offer(s) and associated user accounts, will be retained for legal and accounting purposes.

We reserve the right to disable and/or delete user accounts for any reason, including breach of our Terms and Conditions. We also reserve the right to prevent individual additional, non-user purchaser(s) from being added to purchase offers for any reason. If a payment has already been made on your account and we disable and/or delete your user account, we will contact you directly to ensure your payment is either refunded or applied towards your purchase offer. User and purchaser information may be persisted for legal and accounting purposes even if login credentials are deleted or disabled.

OwnSpace sends out communications for the purpose of notifying users of important information and milestones during the completion of a home purchase offer. This includes user account creation and management. OwnSpace may also send out emails designed to notify you about promotional opportunities related to our products. As per the applicable laws, you may unsubscribe from these promotional emails.

If we are involved in a re-organization, merger, or acquisition, your information may be shared or transferred to new owners or partners. In this event, OwnSpace will notify you about the change via email and will outline your data management options.

Our site and mobile application are designed to be used by people over the age of 13. If you are 13 years of age or younger, please do not use our site or mobile application. If you are a representative of a child 13 years of age or younger, please do not enter the child’s information on OwnSpace.

Any part, provision, representation or warranty of this Privacy Policy which is prohibited or which is held to be void or unenforceable shall be ineffective to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without invalidating the remaining provisions hereof.
